Capt. Jims Crabs

I have been getting my crabs here from Captain Jim’s for at least 5 years and never been disappointed. Staff great and very friendly. Now if I want oysters, mussels and scallops, I have to go to their location on Philadelphia Rd. Witch I don’t mind. They are the best around and large sizes, they are about 10 to 15 minutes from our house. Would not go anywhere else, very satisfied.

We ordered from here for the first time Memorial Day Weekend because all of our usual places had busy lines. The prices are fair, and the crabs were delicious. The space itself is clean for pick up. We bought 2 dozen mediums and 6 ears of corn. The corn was fresh and the crabs were full. We will definitely order from Capt. Jim’s Crabs again soon.

Bought a bushel of "small" live crabs for a labor day party. Let me say this, NOT ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT from anyone at the party. Had an 8 crab dead loss,, perfectly acceptable for me, as I picked them up at 11:30, first batch steamed at approx 1:00, second batch at 4:00. 8 dead crabs are no big deal on a bushel, considering I kept them in the box, with a moistened blanket and a bag of ice on top. VERY happy with the crabs, and price. Saved $100 on the bushel by getting the smalls vs the medium. Will buy again!! THANK YOU Capt Jim!

Unlike that other crab place in Middleriver I think this guy only sees one color. Green. I bought 2 dozen medium males and 1 1/2 dozen small femalea ( for the kids ) a dozen white corn. ( They were sold out large xl and jumbo) Get there early the crabs were fresh , hot , and heavy. Super delicious. Give them a try...

Very disappointed for a second time. Last weekend went there, they only had small males. My husband and I order a dozen and a half of them. Get home and they are females. Have to go back and exchange them. Today got medium males. Get home they are very small. Almost the same size as the smalls we got last week and there were only 11 crabs in the bag. Sorry crabs are too expensive to be getting ripped off. If you go there, you are better off getting 2 dozen of small for $50 instead of one dozen of medium for $48. We will not be going back!!!!
