Mann Orchards

Good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The prepared food gave me a tummy ache so I won't be buying that again. The baked goods are great but just a bit overpriced. They have a good selection of food. My main concern with this place is the customer service. The folks behind the bakery counter are almost always grumpy. The checkout is not any better. During my last visit, there were 2 checkers in each of the 2 lines. They were both standing with their arms crossed and leaning against the counter with their backs to the counter, facing each other [no customers in each]. When a started walking to the checkout, it was unclear to me which if any of the lanes were open. One of them mumbled, 'I can help you here', but I couldn't tell where it came from so I just kept walking to one of them. Apparently it was the wrong one because the checkers look at the other one and rolled her eyes. Slowly she uncrossed her arms and pushed herself of the counter to grudgingly help me. Seriously, does it matter? Both were standing and doing nothing. And if it matters then make it obvious which lane you want me in. As I'm carrying a basket full of groceries and trying to shuffle my 5 year old at the same time, I can't hear or tell where you want me to go and I don't need your eye roll when I'm spending $75 on a basket full of stuff. Sorry! A business is only as good as it's worse employee!

I usually like Mann’s, but for the past several years I have purchased peaches which I presume have been stored in the refrigerator after picking which made them mealy and disgusting. They looked beautiful on the outside but as soon as you cut them or bite them it is nasty. So I guess I will stick with apples from Mann’s until they stop storing their fresh peaches in the fridge and ruining them. :(
