The Common Man Merrimack

This place was fabulous. I had the Nantucket Pie (shrimp, scallops, lobster, and cod in lobster sauce, sprinkled with ritz crackers). It was sooo delicious. Then I had the mud pie for desert and it was fabulous too. We sat at the bar downstairs and Dan was the bartender. He recommended both of these items. Great choices. I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant came up recommended as one of the best group of restaurants in NH. So I was happy to see that there was one at walkable distance from my B&B. I went in there on a Saturday evening. There is plenty seating capacity available, and I think the range of seating options that one has here is a plus! I sat on one of the high tables on the bar floor; he lounge seats looked very inviting too 🙂. The staff is pleasant, and the Manager stopped by one to say hello. Service was fast. All my food was delicious, and flavouful - Cheese & Crackers, Almost Escargot, Tuna Poke Lettuce Wrap, and Ward Eight. Highly recommend - visit them for the food, and the unCOMMON homely experience for The Common Man. 👍🌟

Absolutely gorgeous building. Ambience and atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. I loved being able to sit on a couch and eat, made me feel at home and welcomed. The complimentary cheese and crackers are really good. Staff is friendly and attentive. The food is FANTASTIC and reasonably priced. Great value for the quality of food and general overall experience. I just got home and have already recommended this place to 2 people. Some of the best food I've had eating out in a while. My meatloaf and mashed potatoes were amazing, the steamed green beans were exactly how I like them. My date's pot roast was also excellent. I absolutely plan on returning.

One of the best meals we have ever had. The meatloaf is AMAZING!!!! The wedge is also very good. I enjoyed dessert as well. I will say the daily sangria was an orange sangria and it is the best sangria I have ever had (it is my go to and I have had it all over the world). We are moving to the area and will definitely be eating here again.

My food was excellent. I had the tuna steak salad, and it was great. My wife had medium well steak tips, a baked potato, and green beans. The problem was, her food was just about the same temperature as my salad. And a baked potato should be served steaming, not luke warm. The service was not good. Having to ask for the same thing three times is frustrating, and he was nowhere to be found. I don't think there was a manager working - I certainly didn't see one. With that being said, my salad was excellent, and I would still consider going back. HOWEVER, there is no way I would sit anywhere but the bar, where u can grab the server whenever necessary, because otherwise, you aren't going to get help.
