Classic Cafe

Found this place a few weeks ago, and have already been back! I really didn't expect much from the looks of the place, but I am SO glad I gave it a try! Mimi, the owner, is very kind and friendly, and made us feel like we were in her home! The food was spectacular; pretty sure the hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict was homemade. The fresh cut fruit bowl was TOP NOTCH. In addition to the normal strawberries, bananas, blueberries and melons, there was also pears, peaches, kiwi and fresh pineapple. SO GOOD! Definitely worth a stop. We will be making it a point to stop by, at least for a bowl of fruit, whenever we are in the area!

There are a number of places to eat breakfast in and around Medford,but none can hold a candle to Classic Cafe. Every palate has a large variety of delectable ,gut filling , homemade dishes to choose from. Lean toward savory? They have 5 or 6 different Benny's alone( classic with feta is my favorite), omelets, eggs combinations starring all the favorite breakfast meats , and the shredded corned beef hash is a meal itself. Best homefries hands down- crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle and just the right amount of seasoning. Sweet more your thing? Plate size pancakes, fruit topped belgium waffles or croissant French toast - yeah, you read that right- are bound to get that sugar rushed well fueled. Top that off with the smoothest coffee in town - not to mention the coolest ice cubes- and you've got yourself a meal to power you all day -which is just as long as your tastebuds will be dancing. Oh yeah, and they deliver.....

This place is a hidden gem! Mimi is one of the most personable business owner and is a phenomenal cook. She cooks everything to order and talks to you as if she were hosting you at her home. When you come make sure to ask for the fruit bowl. Kiwis, plums and peaches are some of the fruits along with the basics.

I have passed this place on my evening walks for a long time, but never stopped in as it is only open until 3pm. They serve breakfast all day, so I was finally tempted enough to stop in on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm to order pancakes to go. There were a few people sitting down to lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered plain pancakes (no toppings), and I did not have to wait long for them. When I got home, I found that I got three pancakes for $7. It came with plastic fork and knife and two pre-packaged syrup paks. The pancakes were not huge, but they were also not small. They were thick enough and fluffy enough. Overall, they tasted good but not good enough to entice me back. Parking is on the street in a tight residential neighborhood.
