Steak 'n Shake

Run as fast away from this place. So went through the drive thru, and placed my order, paid cash... Drove over 30 minutes home with this to find out that our entire order was incorrect. Ordered #5 add tomato, onion, lettuce, and a #1 no ketchup add mayo mustard. Not only were both burgers made incorrectly, they gave use both #1 burgers, no #5. Husband called up, and the MOD was snooty, and stated that we had to physically come back to the restaurant. Keep in mind again we are over 30 minutes away. Next day, husband goes in, and explains that not only do we want our money back, but some form of compensation, especially now we are driving over an hour just for some fast food here. MOD was listening to husband's complaints, and some yet again snooty teenager, not in uniform comes stomping up to the counter, and tells the MOD that its either one or the other, but not both. I am beginning to wonder if the "kids" working at fast food restaurants these days can even read a ticket order. And for a company not to recognize that they were in the wrong and to make the customer feel like that we are at fault is just wrong. Will NEVER order from this one again.

Went there to eat shortly after noon on a Saturday. Staff didn’t say a single word to us, just stared at us while we placed our order on the kiosk. The nozzles weren’t on the pop machine yet and the staff just watched as another customer got sprayed while trying to get her water. You’d think the staff would walk over and help put the nozzles on, right? No. I got up and helped while the guy behind the counter watched. Bun for my burger was stale and hard as a rock. Fries were good but that’s about the only good thing about this experience. Will not be back.

This used to be one of my favorite places to go. There is no human interaction with the two people on staff and the customer. They have put in a kiosk that you place your order from when your enter(thankful to the other patron in the store to let me know that) You then pay before you get your food. No one talks to you when your food is ready. i get better service from Mcdonalds and that's not saying anything. I hope it was worth it for them to get rid of all employees and make this the most horrible dinning experience I have ever had

Went there a little bit after 6pm and there were only 2 tables with people and they already had food so the place wasn't busy. Me, my mom, my aunt and uncle. We ordered at the same time but did 2 separate orders. They got there food within 5 minutes. Me and waited for over 40 minutes and finally asked for our money back and they told us they were making our food now and tried to give us a hassle when we just wanted to go somewhere else. Got out money back and will never go there again would give zero stars if possible.

They now give you paper straws that you cannot drink your milkshake through because they start to bend and break before you can even get the milkshake through it! You have to order off of the kiosk which doesn't allow you to place the order the way you used to! There was only two people working there and they were loud behind the counter laughing while my husband and I sat down and ate our meal. He went to take a bite out of his hot dog and the bread broke so he had to get a knife to cut it & It was cold inside the restaurant it's just not the way it used to be. I understand they have to use those paper straws because of the environment and whatnot but you really can't drink your milkshake through them !!

Sadly, the restaurant is going downhill. Idk if it's new management or what but the quality alone is not the same (fries over cooked…they were hard), the place needs to be cleaned up and down, twice. Just the drive-thru window looks like it hasn't been clean in years, a little pride in your workplace goes a long way. What happened to the lettuce on all the items?? and No Chilli cheese fries no more really??? No salad?? I'm out, thanks for all the good year of good food.. RIP
