The Sugar Cube

This is hands down my favorite coffee in the valley. I'm going to do the "preachy a-hole vegan" thing here and let you know these people have it down. The menu is small... But good. I didn't get the oh so appealing 'what's-a-vegan-doing-in-texas' look either. They've only been open for two weeks and they've oiled this machine. Fast, flavorful, and the most reasonable prices I've ever seen for a soy latte. Ever. If I wasn't in training I'd eat everything on the menu, like right now.

The Sugar Cube, exactly what McAllen needed. (Not being biased because i've been employed there, it was truly my favorite place to hangout even before i worked there.) A Great, Small Bistro to grab a tasty Vegan meal, the usual 10 to 20 min wait on food isn't bad considering how delicious the bistro restaurant quality the food is. Their Loaded Veg Quesadillas are my favorite! The Coffee Shop part of the Sugar Cube is chill...with yummy handcrafted coffee drinks! The Baristas and Cooks are very friendly and informative. Service is great, and the owners are wonderful people. Family friendly! They Allow all different genres of music playing on the speakers, which is nice to cater to all their guests instead of just one group of people. And if you don't like the music or its too loud, you can just ask them to turn it down, they are very kind and considerate. If you havent been! Go! You wont regret it...it'll be one of your new favorite spots, promise.

Found this great little shop by accident while looking around by some art shops. It is a great coffee shop with good food and drinks. The staff was awesome and attentive. Not a lot of space, but they fill it nicely. Make sure to flip through the sketch books! Some great artists have created some sketches you wouldn't think possible with the limited pallet of markers available. Take a break from the heat and visit.
