Java Sun Coffee Roasters

Been visiting this place from way before the new owner took over. The place has been refreshed and cleaned, and great new items were added to the menu, more variety of muffins and great sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Coffee has been the same mediocre quality you get around the north shore, "you never know what you gonna get" kinda coffee. Espressos seem like they're coming from a coffee machine from the dinosaur ages and the baristas take a really long time to make your drink. The single-origin coffee choices are good, but only if you're lucky to get to drink them fresh. I was treated really well by a nice young lady who offered me a muffin, which was delicious. If you don't mind being somewhere where costumers are having to constantly yell their orders while a loud blender and a kitchen alarm is ringing, you might even be able to read a book. Having the slogan "the best coffees under the sun" it's a big overstatement. I'll definitely come back for a muffin, but not for a coffee.

What a homely, friendly place, with comfortable seats and lovely staff. The Java Sun Coffee Roasters place is well located in Marblehead and serves coffee and treats to go or to eat inside. We opted for a lovely large Americano in a real china mug. I do so much prefer my coffee out of a 'real' cup. Polystyrene or even paper is just not the same. My partner had the same but also enjoyed an oatmeal blueberry muffin – the best muffin he has had for many a year.
