Sextons

Oh my word, what a lovely gem of a place Sextons is! We were in Lymm a couple of weeks ago on a specific trip to collect an order from one of the other little shops in the village. My brother asked if I wouldn’t mind popping in Sextons, for some of his favourite cakes for him while I was there. We ended up eating in and each having a very reasonably priced, top notch full English, very tasty coffee and came home with a couple of boxes of the most stunning homemade cakes you’ll find anywhere! The staff were so super friendly, especially Sarah the owner and Gail who served us. The choice combinations of excellent food are endless. If it’s not in the board but they’ve got it, they’ll do a concoction for you! Nothing was too much trouble and their customer service excelled on every level. We loved the place so much, we went back yesterday afternoon with our grandchildren, one of whom is vegan and readily catered for and our dogs who were also welcome. The extensive array of freshly baked breads are amazing! If you happen to be passing through this neck of the woods, this little bakery/cafe/deli/ice cream parlour. . . You name it, they do it all, with the most friendly and accommodating staff, is a must to try and also very rare to find these days. We’ll definitely be back before long!!

Top notch bakery this. Massive range of proper cakes, couldn't decide. The apple and cinnamon pastry I had was awesome. I had a beef and horseradish barm, was just the thing for lunch. Also has a salad bar and ice cream, as well as a decent packaged food offering. The best thing is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was so friendly, I wish I was even half that cheerful. Grab a sandwich and a cake and take in the picturesque views by the water, you won't be disappointed
