Katfish Kitchen

Great little restaurant! Catfish was really good! We enjoyed the little sampler they brought out. The hush puppies were a hit with my kids and I enjoyed the tomato relish. Prices were reasonable and portions were generous. Service was great too. Our waitress was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely will return.

I absolutely looooove these bbq crabs. They are always full and delicious. I just hate that the Beaumont location closed and I have to drive from Houston to Lumberton. Its worth it though. They have a drive through and I can take my crabs to go. The pice is great to. No one sells bbq crabs like these.

Maybe my experience was a one off because I see so many good reviews. My experience was bad enough for me to feel the need to let somebody know about it. Let me start off by saying the service was great! Only reason I’m giving it 3 stars at all because those ladies deserve all the tips they get despite the fact the restaurant itself was disappointing. They brought out free hush puppies & coleslaw which was awesome, except the hush puppies were flavorless & dry & the coleslaw looked like it had been left in the fridge for a week. It was turning brown. Still very edible, just think the coleslaw should be fresh & presentable every time. The gumbo was watery & again, flavorless. The shrimp was good but I mean it was frozen shrimp that reminded me of the ones I get at the gas station. & the tartar sauce made me sick. I think maybe it was expired or something I don’t know but two bites into my poboy I was nauseas. Again, maybe a one off. But still, management cannot get lazy & allow for food to be served like that. It wasn’t just one thing that I didn’t like, every single thing that came out to the table wasn’t good.

We like to dine in but for now with the Covid-19 being bad we're do to go. Drive-thru was easy to use. Staff was same friendly people that wait on us inside. We had popcorn shrimp dinner with baked potato and a fried Catfish dinner with French fries. Both dinners were tasty and filling. We recommend Katfish Kitchen to anyone. Good place for kids that like fish as they have few kids meals.

Food was ok, server was super sweet & very accommodating, kitchen messed up my plate twice but fixed it...my fried oysters were small & probably will never order again, catfish was ok, butterflied shrimp were good, not enough meat in gumbo, stuffed crab was ok...not the cleanest restaurant ive ever been in either but probably bc it's such an old building makes it look more run down than it is
