Was there last evening for a Birthday meal, food was amazing, service and atmosphere was good, lovely place, highly recommend it

I went with 2 friends on Easter Sat. We ordered from the under £10menu because we were not terribly hungry. The waitress was on her own doing everything Greeting , seating ,giving out menus , taking orders drinks and food, etc. But she was very good and cheerful.. After ordering our food it took around 15 mins to arrive at our table. All plates were hot ,food hot , good portions, and very tasty. We had a cottage pie. Liver and Bacon and inside out chickenKiev. No complaints at all. We only had one negative comment. we thought the drinks were a little more expensive than we normally pay. We all would go there again.

Had the pulled pork dog. Good size and overall great portion sizes. Friendly staff decently priced given the current climate will definitely be going again.

I have never been to the restaurant, only have takeaway delivery, as a vegetarian I have good choice of food, but tend to stick with my favourite halloumi burger and chips although I did have a pizza from them recently which I would happily get again, love their fruit crumble and cheese cake desserts also

Not disappointed on our first visit, excellent food, and a friendly service. Will be making return on my next trip. Fish pie was excellent made and I’m fold the Fish and Chips was equally delicious.

Booked a table on line last week and had a quick response with confirmation the next day. Went last night and it was absolutely excellent. Ordered Steak and kidney pudding, liver and bacon, chicken curry and chicken ham and leek pie. Ordered arrived quickly and was absolutely lovely. Sweets afterwards where just as good. Abbie looked after us extremely well she was welcoming attentive and genuinely helpful we all warmed to her straight away. We came away after having a lovely evening and look forward to going back. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Been to the Blue Boar couple of times, always have had a good meal here. Good choice of quality meals. Plus a good children’s menu. My wife had the liver and bacon, really enjoyed and the mash was excellent. I had the inside out chicken Kiev, which was wonderful, excellent flavour. Daughter had the homemade chicken goujons and chips. Which were excellent. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive to the needs of their customers. Also book as they’re very busy. One of our favourite places.
