What a place. Welcoming accommodating and entertaining. Never been there before

Basic pub, basic food but plenty of it, good value for money, friendly atmosphere and staff, dog friendly, interesting cider choice, well worth trying. If you want fine dining then this is mot the place for you, but if you want value for money in an old style down to earth pub then this is the one. Will definitely return

We had a lovely time here. The view is great, the welcome friendly, and the food plentiful & tasty. Our dogs loved their sausages!

Friendly old school pub good food good selection of ales and beers and dog friendly. Perfect for after a walk on the very close by beech with the mutt.

Can't fault the food. We had cod Rock and 2 pies. We had one vegetarian but this establishment doesn't cater for veggies. The barman was asked if the veggie could have an egg and he argues that an egg isn't vegetarian as it "comes out of a chickens a**e". Charming. And wouldn't put an egg on top of the beans. Other than poor customer service, food was good. Wouldn't come here again just for the ignorant barman.

Had sunday dinner here up to 3 different meats if you want ,loads of veg and potatoes plus large Yorkshire pudding . Could not fault food , try it the value for money is excellent

Lovely pub with excellent views. Has a good music scene.Food always reasonably priced. Basically it's first come first served at the pub. You cannot book a table but you can usually find a spare table . Would recommend.

Fab old fashioned pub that doesn't take itself too seriously with a very good choice of real ales good food and excellent homemade bread and cake to take away

Great place for us to have a friendly drink after our walk. Loads of space with the dogs.
