16 of us enjoyed a meal at the globe for my Mums 60th. Staff were extremely accommodating right from the booking stage through to the meal. Lovely food and great service. We will definitely be returning!!

Amazing food one of the best steaks I’ve had!
The host was amazing and couldn’t have done anymore for us! The chef was amazing too and put a lot of care and attention into the food! Great atmosphere and I will definitely be back when I come to visit again! Ps we love Norman and we are his biggest fans!!!

Lovely pub, friendly & very efficent staff, obviously a great kitchen team because food on both occasions was out quick & delicous. Great for us as a family of 4 with a dog x

The pub is situated right opposite the station so it can be your perfect spot for a meal before you take a train. It looks like a place frequented by locals. We were happy with our sandwiches (bacon & brie and posh fingers). Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly. The menu has got enough dishes to keep everyone happy. It could do with a little bit of refurbishment, but otherwise, it was a perfect choice for our early lunch.

Went in for some drinks on a rainy day, lovely warm atmosphere lots of nice people inside, we even got offered seats by a couple since the pub was pretty full. Drinks were reasonably priced, good selection of spirits behind the bar, I didn’t have any food but it smelled good from the kitchen.

Just the best meal I’ve had in years! Connor the chef came out and spoke to us, I’d refused the green pepper sauce but then pinched most of my husbands! Made fresh from scratch. Genuine pub, lovely atmosphere and staff. The fresh fish and chips almost swim at you and the steak should not be missed. Nether my husband or myself are young but the care taken to serve us was a thing I thought had vanished! Please do come and see for yourself. Thank you jade, Connor, and all staff. We will return!

What you'd call a 'proper pub'. The perfect place to rest up before (or after) a long trip on the railway. They serve a good range of beers and ciders and have a nice garden out front. It's very popular with the locals and was rammed on the weekend which overall created a good atmosphere. They have a pool table too if thats your thing.
