China Moon

This place has the usual items on the menu plus a few things I didn't recognize, so I decided to give them a try. I ended up trying "Sa Char Beef" which turned out to be similar to pepper steak with mushrooms and snow peas in some sort of spicy brown sauce. I loved the flavor and I'll definitely be back to order it again.

my husband and I were craving Asian cuisine today. we have gone to other establishments that can’t even hold a candle 🕯 to China Moon. it was our first time here today and oh my goodness the experience was amazing. I was greeted upon entering and the owners were very pleasant and thankful. once we got home and tried the food it exceeded our expectations after being burnt by other restaurants in the area. we will definitely be back.

Pros: Clean restaurant, friendly customer service. Prices are cheaper then other take out places in the area. Cons: Lo-mein we tried was soggy and nearly flavorless, entire dish had a gas like flavor as if the gas cooker they used carried some flavor into the dish. The steamed dumplings tasted like they were stuffed with chicken from a can, also devoid of flavor. I ALMOST NEVER leave a review, or complain about food as I worked in restaurants for several years in college. But the food was so bad both me and wife took a few bites and threw the rest away. Only out about 25 bucks so not the end of the world, but won't be back. The food gets 1 star, the customer service and prices get a couple more... 3 stars is very generous for this place imo. Maybe we got the wrong dish, but not going to try again, we got burned hard.

A year later - my son turns 1 this week, and this place still has our business. Just had it this evening and everything was great. They're still so friendly and our son loves the attention he gets, along with a treat now and then. They're doing it right. We recently moved to the area and had a house full of hungry people. It's a bit scary to try new places you know nothing about after finding a favorite where we used to live in Orange County. We placed a relatively large order and it was ready when we arrived. Everything we ordered came out great, and I think even better than our favorite place. The flavors were good, everything was hot, well cooked and soft or crispy as they should be. Portions were large, including more crab rangoon to an order than I'm used to. The woman at the counter was incredibly friendly and being our first time, she threw in 2 large containers of donuts as well. We had just brought our new son home from the hospital and she congratulated me as she rushed me out the door to get back home to our new baby. I feel like the first place we tried in our new home will be the only one we need to try.
