Barley And Beans

Best breakfast I’ve had! I’ve visited Barley & Beans with my two babies and my partner a few times now and we are absolutely loving it! The place is cosy and the music (which is great in taste btw and offers loads of throwbacks) is great in the background so you can still enjoy conversing. The layout is helpful as it allows me and my partner to fit a double pram next to our table so we can eat with our babies next to us. The staff are extremely attentive and so so friendly- always presenting us with a warm welcome. With regards to the food you are definitely paying for quality. Not once could I fault it, always cooked perfectly! The produce they use are so delicious and the chefs skills help to compliment this. TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU EVERYTHING IS COOKED WITHOUT FAULT! FRESH, HOT AND DELICIOUS!! Portion sizes nicely fill you and the tea pot sizes are - to me - generous. By far the most tastiest breakfast I've ever had, me and my boyfriend absolutely love this place and rave about it to eachother. Going to enjoy it whilst I can on maternity leave as unfortunately for people that work 9am - 5pm this clashes with breakfast times. Most definitely will be making time for this weekends and on days off. Absolutely delightful. Really recommend the King Benny with added bacon. Very delicious!

Had breakfast here with my wife. Coffee was nice, service was quick and friendly and the food was lovely. We both had Canadian Breakfast with Cinnamon Butter and it was heavenly. Reasonably priced too. Location is a little off the beaten track, but it is worth the detour from the centre of town. Also better to give your custom to a smaller business

Fab food in a fab venue. The cafe is relatively small and so reservations are recommended. Menu is good with some really good meals available. The shakes are well known and absolutely obscene but has to be done! They do sometimes run out of food because they're that popular so definitely worth a call ahead of arrival.
