El Gran Agave

Friends and family dined here after visiting the Morton Arboretum. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Our party ordered the following food: 2 carne asada tacos, queso fundido with chorizo, pechuga de pollo en mole poblano, enchiladas brava and guacamole. We also had a flight of margaritas. The mole was a little sweet for my liking but it was good. The guacamole was a little pricey for the portion you got, but with the avocado market price at the moment, it was expected. The service was a little slow but there were only two servers for the whole restaurant. The margarita flight was tasty. Would definitely stop by again if we're in the neighborhood.

Their mole, fajitas, and margaritas are unbeatable. We recently revisited our old favorite, Lalo's, and it only reaffirmed that El Gran Agave is in a league of its own. The difference in quality was crystal clear. The staff at El Gran Agave, including the delightful Angelina, make every visit special with their friendly service.
