Excellent heritage railway. Nice little shop and ticket office. The narrow gauge railway winds it's way through Leighton Buzzard to the old sand quarry at Stonehenge Works Station. The railway was built to transport the high grade sand to the Grand Union Canal. Lots to see at the depot and there's a small café and shop. Great little adventure, and such lovely people too. 😎👍👍👍

A short but interesting ride along this old line with a stop at the works to view other engines and see how they moved the sand from the quarry

My 2YO son absolutely loved his visit here! We booked tickets the night before and went on a pirate themed 11:40 steam train. The staff had a smile on their faces, are so enthusiastic and made the visit very enjoyable. My son loved it!

Great fun for all ages, young & old, alike, well worth a visit to see a preserved, working narrow gauge railway, with its nostalgic industrial heritage and now preserving a number of unusual, quirky even, locomotives from diverse countries and different usage, including The Great War, also from the USA & India.

Best day ever . My huge respect for volunteers the trip well worth the cost . And the toilets the cleanest i have seen apart from a 5 star hotel. To all those who run that place a very well done . Your passion for the trains the railway is evident.

Was enjoyable, wanted to have a close look at the engine but didn't get an opportunity to pity they don't allow you access to it. Ride is about 90 mins with food either Fish n Chips or Sausage and Chips with bottle of water and a flapjack for afters. The track is right in the middle now of Housing estates so you really don't see that much apart from back gardens which is a pity. Allrun by volunteers who do a grand job though. There are toilets, a shop and plenty of parking.

Took my mum for mother's day. Something different to do. Brilliant. Well worth a day out with the kids but bring a pack up as the cafe is very basic.

This a lovely activity for kids they have activity sheets you can fill out along the way so good idea to bring a pen/pencil. The journey lasts around 30 minutes then it stops for around 20 minutes There is a little shop that sells lots of handmade items. Tea and coffee is available. There's a little sandpit a slide and old train you can sit in. The you go back to the station. There is lots of parking And a big park next to the train station
