The Riverside

Really nice pub, great location with fantastic views. Not the best value but that's to be expected with the location, not ridiculous either. Good selection of spirits and mixers, can't say the same for ciders however. Only a couple options (Aspall and Thatchers haze if I remember correctly). Bit disappointing but if you're not too fussed about options they're both fairly good choices. Service was good, always quick and friendly, never any issues. Overall, a really nice spot for a couple drinks on the river. Highly recommend sitting outside in the evening for some great sunset views and the wildlife.

Lovely place to stay for a stopover or short break. It's a unique setting with several small houses separated into upper and lower floors that make up the rooms, set in a small enclosure next to the river that includes a pub, cafe and boating centre. The family room we booked was spacious and well decorated for a very competitive price. The food at the restaurant/bar was of a good quality. The location on the river is lovely. The kids enjoyed feeding the ducks.

Can only speak for the rooms. Very clean and well appointed, surprisingly so. Stayed on a Sunday night and found that they had a really early last orders and didn't serve breakfast on Mondays for guests either, so no onsite food, hence the 3 stars for service. There was a café next door but that's only open Thursday through Sunday.
