Dozo Restaurant

I'll start with how our night started. The reservation management was subpar. They apparently lost our reservation when my girlfriend confirmed the reservation three times before the call was done. Luckily, it was a slow Tuesday night, her birthday being the reason for our dinner endeavor, so they seated us anyway. The server was a little snappy it seemed but we warmed up to each other and I'd say she was sweet. The chef, Loy, was great, absolutely phenomenal. He was funny, exciting and enjoyable. He tried his best to accommodate us and was well prepared to handle everything. The food he prepared was excellent and had plenty of flavor. If you're a person who's sensitive to soy or doesn't want a lot of sodium, you'll want to let the chef know what you want the soy added to. I hadnt been here in years but I was in town and my family wanted hibachi so this was the place to go. We were fortunate to arrive during happy hour but the staff was limited so drinks took a while. The wonder boy roll and the lemon drops were as tasty as I remembered 😋 I ordered the trio that came with chicken, steak, and shrimp. I went with the standard beef onion broth. I was going to do the miso for $1 more but decided not to. Nice broth. The peanut sauce on the salad was not as overwhelming as before. The meal came with noodles And rice, which was a nice surprise. Everything was seasoned well and the chef was very patient and entertaining. Great times!

Phenomenal food and service! The food is always amazing but we have a favorite chef, haha. Tonight we went for date night and were taken care of by a lovely bartender as we waited for a table and our wonderful server (Jessica, whom I believe goes by Jae) once we were seated. They carry a Japanese plum wine that I would recommend to those wanting to wine down! They also carry a light beer called Soprano that my fiance enjoys that I also find pretty good. The food is top notch to match! We need to start going more often & would call this restaurant worth the visit 100%. ♡
