Long John Silver's

I miss an actual Long John Silvers but there is none near me so this is all we have. This is a combo with KFC and I'm not a fan. The fish and chicken was good and sides were fine just more KFC style. I got the family meal and it was a good deal. I said I wanted fresh food dropped so it wasn't food that had been sitting there. Not positive they did that but oh well.

The nostalgia!! I thought all of the LJS places were gone so I was pleasantly surprised to find this. It's exactly what you expect it to be, tasty fish and chicken enveloped in a flavorful batter, somewhat greasy from the deep frying. And it's satisfying. I didn't even eat the hush puppies or fries (gave them to my companions) but I walked out feeling satiated. The food was fresh, hot... Not one soggy bit. One of my party got KFC instead and was surprisingly pleased with the freshness and flavor for what it is.

I once had a long John's in my town, but sadly, it closed down. So, any time in on vacation, I look for one. This location was 15 minutes away, going to the opposite direction that I was supposed to be going. The food was delicious and was worth the drive. Fish and hushpuppies are my favorite. There used to be a combo with 2fish and 2 chicken, but it no longer exists, so I didn't get any chicken. Still, I left happy and filled and hope to enjoy this food again soon. There are not many left, so stop by anytime you're nearby.
