The Coachman Hotel & Restaurant

Went for lunch, place is nice and staff is responsive. Some table are a bit close of each other and I get maximizing floor count but a bit more room would give a better experience. Food menu is varied and what we ordered was nice. Drinks selection seems ok, just sad I couldn't get an amber ale. Dessert selection is also nice. Overall, would recommend and with little improvement they could make it a 5 star!

We called in The Coachman for an evening meal after a day out and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The food was well cooked and was served in good portions. We took our desserts home in a box for later. The car park at the front is small but there is a bigger one around the back. There is an outdoor seating area and a separate bar from the restaurant. Overall we had a great experience and we would recommend the food.

4 stars because the food was amazing and a decent price. Unfortunately they have to do a few changes . The serving staff were never too sure who got what for which table. We booked to reserve for 15 people but we're all sitting on different tables yet another party came in and staff got other tables and joined them all together so they could sit next to each other. 10 of them. They didn't book to reserve or the table would have been set up. And although a pint of heverlee was a superb price I think £5.70 for a vodka and irn bru is ripping the urine a bit. £2.90 for 25ml vodka and 2.70 for a can of irn bru. Will I be back? Yes. The food was amazing.
