Scots Bonnet

Went in for a late lunch this afternoon with my Grandson he had the Sirloin steak with bbq sauce which loved, cooked to perfection. I had the home made nachos which were amazing I could have went another portion. We the Chocolate Sundae which perfect. The service was first class from start to finish. Well done we will be back soon

Very quiet place for Saturday lunchtime. Dining is in fairly private booths with benches. Food is pretty good. Portions are adequate for those with a moderate appetite. Service efficient, and friendly without being obtrusive. Vegetarians and vegans fairly well catered for, with several options available (no non-dairy milk for coffee, however).

Simon the manager is the most friendly and welcoming member of staff we have experienced. We feel like old friends and he makes such a massive effort with our 1 year old son, who smiles constantly at him. The food is great and fantastic value. Reasonable menu. I had a steak pie with chips and mushy peas which I thoroughly enjoyed. Others in our party had mixed grills or gammon steaks. All were well cooked. There is a decent dessert menu and prices are generally very good. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Some of the seats etc are quite worn but still comfy enough. I believe this restaurant is much better in every way than the millhouse.

Just had a Christmas Dinner here, food was 1st class, drinks, reasonable & friendly staff, couldn't be any more helpful. Some posts on here talk about long waits between courses, what's stopping you from asking for the courses to come quicker. As I said the staff couldn't be any more helpful!!! I can vouch for this place. Thanks to all the staff for making a good afternoon better. You won't be disappointed & if your courses aren't coming quickly enough, just ask the staff & they'll be more than happy to oblige. Thank you once again Scott's Bonnet, hopefully see you'se next year.

Unfortunately we had an extended wait to be seated, staff walking past us repeatedly. The restaurant was not busy. After being asked if we were ready to order about 30 seconds after we sat down we politely asked for a couple of minutes more to decide. After 15 minutes passed a friendly server saw that our original server had not returned so she took our order. As we had a film booked next door at the odeon, after 1 hour of being in the restaurant no food had arrived and we were about to leave when the manager brought the order. We explained the situation and that unless we left we would miss our film, the manager was very apologetic and offered us tickets to the next showing. She and the second server who took our order could not have been friendlier and and handled the situation in a very professional manner. The food was great and the manager being friendly and professional turned a negative experience into a positive one.
