Avis sur Thai Basil

I came here for lunch with my sister for some sushi and was not disappointed! The sushi lunch special is a great deal, and was delicious! We also had some crab rangoons and chicken satay, both were very tasty as well! I had come here years ago, while under previous management, and had not been back because of reviews I had seen. My experience today was great, the waitress was very attentive and personable, and we plan on coming back! We were also happy that the building is very handicap accessible, which made it easy for my sister with her broken ankle and knee scooter.

I live in Alabama and ate here 3 years ago. Have wanted to go back ever since. Went twice this time. Food was fabulous. Ordered sushi first visit. Very fresh and delicious. Had one of the curries on second visit. Was excellent and seafood fresh and tasty. Just the right heat level. Staff was friendly. Service was excellent. Have a large number of vegetarian options. Food was beautifully presented. Will definitely recommend to anyone. Family friendly. We will definitely return when I'm back in Connecticut.

For almost being in the middle of nowhere this place was decent! We were essentially seated as soon as we got there and we had a group of 5. Food: I got a chicken pad see ew and the portion size was quite perfect for my big appetite! It did taste a bit different than my usual pad see ew order so I was a bit confused but it was still very savory! Service: Food came kind of slowly for a casual Thai place but we were out within 30 minutes! Ambiance: Pretty casual place! Dimly lit. Overall, a nice place to hit up if you’re going skydiving nearby like us!

Excellent Thai food. Always can expect it to be made well and the same each order. Delicious nime chow served with house made sweet sauce with peanuts. The help told me the sauce is boiled down for hours and I typically pay for extra for cups to pour over pad Thai noodles because this stuff is like pouring on Thai heaven. There are many terrible choices for takeout food in the area, Thai Basil is not one of them. You will be pleasantly surprised by this tucked away restaurant jewel.

A few years ago new owners took over this place and it went downhill big time. However, the last few times that I have been here, I have been pleasantly surprised! The soups have gotten much better than they ever were, they are loaded with veggies and packed with flavor now. The meals are much better now, seem to be plated professionally and with a new flare, and the sushi is no longer made with the mush they had been using, they are presented fresh, colorful, and taste fantastic. Thai Basil is back and better than ever!

What a nice surprise in this northern CT town. They have alcoholic beverages, their house special cocktail was good and reasonably priced. The food was very good with great service. We had their Colossal Roll, the biggest six pieces ever experienced that took three mouthfuls to deevower each and was full of flavor. The whole Red Snapper with Thai chilies was in fact snapper and not a hog fish.....it was one of the tastiest we ever had in the states. The sauce was awesome! Between the two dishes shared we were stuffed and surprised at the quality and flavors. If you like Thai food this little gem is a must-try if you find yourself in the area. The only reason we didn't give this place 5 stars is the ambiance of the small dinner-like location with the P&W railroad train screeming by yards away....a slight distraction from stuffing our faces in delight.

Pop in for the luncheon menu, and you will not be disappointed. My wife and I have stopped in twice now after a visit to Logee's greenhouse. This place is a real gem for Thai food. Portions are admirable, the food is freshly prepared and delicious. Not a fancy place, but it offers a reasonable price for a great meal. Staff is pleasant.

Found this place totally by accident and it was so worth it. We had a seat next to a window overlooking an old water tower which added to the aesthetics. The place itself was quite tidy, well organized and a decent sized bar. The staffs were helpful and respectful. Food was amazing! Don't think twice.
