Been here a few times and the food has been great but had to write a review for their Friday fried chicken lunch meal. It’s the best deal you can get in the Outer Banks but you need to order fast before it runs out.
The skin of the chicken was crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. The pieces they give are huge, and when you add the sides, you get a ton of food.
Give this place a try!

Just passing through from Florida. Googled this establishment which has an amazing review! Bartenders very attentive as we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. The server Nicole was incredibly knowledgeable and explained every special in detail. I had the special Grilled rockfish grits with a sweet corn relish which was amazing! My husband had the salmon salad which he said was incredible. The food is amazingly fresh and scrumptious. We had the benefit of meeting Brett, the new owner. Very approachable and truly cares about his establishment and team. We will be back. Cheers, peeps. GO! You will not be disappointed!

This place deserves all of it’s 5 stars. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious. We had the salmon salad.and a daily dinner special, grilled rockfish on grits with a sweet corn relish.
The grilled salmon on the salad was delicious and the greens were fresh and tasty. The grilled rock always also tasty.

really great place. jen’s juice is a fantastic cocktail and the food is good, as is the atmosphere. the apple crumble with ice cream is definitely worth saving some appetite for!

This place is Amazing!!!! Went on a Friday night in October 2023 around 5pm and there was an hour wait. Bar is a pretty cool area and is first come first served. We had the Beer can shrimp and chicken wings for appetizers. Sooooo good! And for people who drink, they give you the other half of the beer that they used to cook the shrimp in. The wings were spicy but great. We then had the Big Kahoona burger. BEST burger I’ve had down in The outer banks in a very long time. It has caramelized onions, cheese and bacon. It was so good we went back the next day and got a second one. Also recommend the strawberry lemonade. (I do mine non-alcoholic) but you can choose an alcohol to add if you like.

OMG Kill Devil Grill is well worth the wait for me. We had an amazing time, service was awesome and the Ribs were so tasty, I will drive the 3 plus hours anytime. I will make this the first place we go. Can't wait for our next visit. The apple crisp is yummy also

The atmosphere, staff, and food were fantastic. Ordered the blackened mahi BLT special and it was delicious. Our server Johnny was very polite and hooked me on the blt special with the description of what all was in it. Will definitely visit there again. I recommend getting the cheese steak eggrolls, I can see why they are a favorite at the restaurant.

Had the absolute best dinner ever! The food was so delicious, our waitress Joanie was top notch! We never asked for a thing! She was so knowledgeable and knew exactly every ingredient to detail! It was perfect! If you’re looking for something new to try this will be a new favorite for us and we will return! The mahi was cooked to perfection on top of the freshest grits and succotash! The salad was full and the fried chicken was crispy and juicy! All cooked to absolute perfection! Don’t forget desert! They have the BEST around!

Got there at 5:30pm on a Friday evening and had an hour wait for 4 of us. The restaurant is loud and small but has personality. Our server was nice and good but talked down a little to us as if our questions were stupid and we weren't reading the menu correctly. The food was delish. I had the scallops and cheese grits special. The rest of the table had the grilled chicken pasta dish, the southern fried chicken salad and the kahuna burger. As for atmosphere, if it's a nice day, they have a little seating outside but nothing inside other than a small bar at the front. Oh and cheesesteak egg rolls....get 'em!

Our waitress was very kind & attentive. The atmosphere is very positive despite the crowded restaurant. Waits are long because of limited seated, but the food was tasty. Thr hot wings were cooked well, but some of them were more than grilled but flat out burned which was a little lame. The ranch is sweet tasting.

This place is phenomenal. The service is top notch. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is great.
If you are having a bad experience, check yourself a couple times then consider maybe it's a off day.

Hard to believe this place has been here 20 years! Fried shrimp, blackened shrimp with Cajun risotto and grilled swordfish over cheese grits (minus the pineapple and avocado salsa).
Of course, we ordered three award winning key lime pie slices to go. I really think it is the best I have ever had!!!
This place is small and almost always has a wait. We arrived at 4:30p and were seated immediately. The staff are very friendly and work together to make sure the table was covered - our water glasses were always full. Overall, the food was good, but with all the restaurant choices in the OBX, I wouldn’t put it on our must have list - unless we were only looking for dessert.

Wait time when we arrived on a weekend was less than 25 mins even though they were transparent that it may be over 25 mins so that was awesome. We ordered their special fresh grilled Mahi Mahi and Swordfish over mashed potatoes as well as strawberry shortcake. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Customer service is phenomenal! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It felt like a collaborative team effort especially with how busy it was. We're from Charlotte and have ate at plenty of restaurants where we would ask different waiters/waitresses for refills, food, and/or utensils where sometimes they wouldn't follow through and forget/ignore us. However, every waiter/waitress here checked on us and didn't forget any additional food/drinks that we added on our order, so I deeply appreciated that so much! Highly recommend and definitely would be returning!

From.the outside it looks like a regular old fashion diner. Buy once you're inside it's a totally different experience. Service was excellent from the moment we checked in until the moment we walked out. Food was excellent. My friend ordered her meal and forgot to ask if the food had any beef or pork used to season (she doesn't eat either). When our dinner came she asked if the food had been seasoned with them, in which the server said he would ask. Upon his return he said it was and quickly offered a replacement. Very impressed with everyone we came in contact with. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
