Monkey Bar

We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon.

Perfect place for us to stay, we were a group of five and came to spend Memorial Day and party a little. It is on top of a bar so do not come expecting peace and quiet all night. The place is nice and has everything you might need. The only reason I have not given this a five star is the master bedroom does get very warm at night. If you plan to stay in that one maybe bring a fan but other than that this place was great would stay again.
