Grounds For Opportunity

Despite my complaining about not knowing it was takeout only right now (I failed to read their google maps posting correctly) the lady at the window was super nice and the food was delicious, so my morning grumpiness quickly gave way to a much better day. They do a great job of packing everything you need to go (see photos). SO GLAD I STOPPED HERE! And glad to help support their mission!

I love a business that excels in more than capacity. Grounds for Opportunity is a cafe, a training facility, and a service organization. Both my husband and I loved the unique and tasty food options and robust Starbucks coffee. He had a half order of the huge Country Benedict with gravy. I tried the Kitchen Sink Omelet and had to take half of it home. Their homemade jam is a perfect accompaniment to their wide selection of breads. We will be back to try lunch. It's a favorite of law enforcement and where the cops eat is always good. The restaurant is spotless, including the restrooms, and the service is top notch and personable.

I was very disappointed in the food and not sure I will be returning. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with side of Hasbrowns. It was the worst biscuit and gravy I've tasted. While they use dehydrated hashbrowns they were not cooked all the way, they were still part raw. The best thing about my visit was the lady at the window was very nice.

I order the Bardyard Burger and added avocado. Oh..my...gosh this was the best burger I’ve ever had! I was so shocked. The only advice I have is I wish you’d season the fries a wee bit more. Other then that this was a perfect meal by far. Amazing prices for amazing food, definitely will be returning 🤩

I randomly googled 'breakfast near me' and this restaurant came up in my top 3. Had great reviews so we gave it a shot. And boy am I glad we did!! The indoor decor felt like a hospital cafeteria according to my BF. He was also a little iffy on the location. But he was so distracted by his incredible food he quickly forgot his worries. We both got the chicken fried steak. He tried the sausage and chorizo gravy. I tried the mushroom gravy. Both of us were very pleased. I would definitely go back again soon!
