Tom + Chee

The grilled Mac + chee sandwich with the creamy tomato basil soup was way better than I excepted. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and had great flavor. I had it on wheat bread and it was yummy. I also liked the donut smores not as good as the Mac n cheese sandwich but still good. All in all, the food exceeded my expectations.

First time visit. Got the grilled cheese sandwich. Oh my goodness!! It was awesome! Never tasted anything like it. A secret that I didn’t know is that they actually put Mac-n-Cheese on it! I know it sounds crazy but it’s “crazy-wonderful”! You got to try it. It is a huge sandwich and I could have shared half. Family with me ordered tortilla and tomato soups. I tasted them and they were delicious. Sandwich between $5-$10. Fast service. Will definitely go back.

If there is one food combo of which I never grow tired, it is grilled cheese and tomato soup. It isn’t too filling, the flavors complement each other quite well, and it reminds me of the foods I enjoyed as a kid. This growing restaurant chain has its roots in Cincinnati, Ohio and you learn this quickly when you dine here. The chain was founded by individuals in the Midwest who knew how much grilled cheese and tomato soup were beloved by so many and so they decided to take things to the next level. And the result is Tom + Chee, a quick serve type of restaurant where you order upon arrival, select your seat, and then wait a few minutes to be served. Tom + Chee serves several variations on the classic grilled cheese. You can select from sandwiches that feature nothing but the basics to ones that include bacon, turkey, etc. The Mac and Chee, which is made with macaroni and cheese, bacon, and onions is my personal favorite, but there are many others that are very tasty as well. And if you want to build your own, you can do that, too, by selecting the type of bread you love best with a specific type of cheese. You can then round out the meal with a bowl of tomato soup. This Tom + Chee location in Katy is right next to Interstate 10 and the inside is larger than expected, with space for about one- hundred people. Soft drinks are self- serve and the service is friendly and professional. A visit here is a great way to reminisce about the tasty grilled and cheese you enjoyed during your youth and the prices are more than reasonable. It's sooo nice to find a place that does Gluten free grilled cheese sandwiches! They are delicious and take a good deal of care to prevent cross contamination. Because of that it does take a little longer to get your food, but it's sooo worth it! I've gotten a few options here before and they are all great. Today was the pesto + turkey with a cup if creamy tomato basil. 👌👌👌 I will note that I'm gluten intolerant not Celiac. So celiacs...use your best judgement.

My husband and I first had Tom + chee in Colorado and fell in love. It’s gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches what’s not to love?! Their soup is amazing as well as their sides. I got the Mac and cheese chee with a potato salad side and he got the brisket chee with Mac and cheese side both were outstanding!
