Happy Apple Cafe

Really unique vegan restaurant in Central KC. Not too many options but the ones they do have are interesting. There weren't too many people working when we went, and it was lunch time, leading to an almost 2 hour event so that wasn't ideal. But the food was tasty, and when they say spicy it comes with a decent amount of heat.

Amazing cafe that serves delicious food. Kendall (hope I'm not misspelling his name) was extremely generous with his time talking to me about what ingredients he uses and the flavor palette they create. The "cheese" covered fries with the juniper berry sauce were to die for. The fried cauliflower taco was perfect. And the black bean burger made this new vegan happy. I wanted to pull people in off the street to try this food! Will definitely be back!

My husband and I LOVE LOVE this place. The food is amazing and the owner(who is the wonderful cook as well) is super cool. He always talks to us and tells us how he comes up with the names of his food. It's nice to have a place where we can eat that's Vegan. 5-6 things on the menu and cash only. If I could give them 100 stars I would!

Great food. Great people. Vegan food the way you never thought it could be. The flavors are unreal and you can tell it takes time and talent to accomplish. Forget your customer centric restaurant expectations and let the chef lead the way. This place is a great reminder to slow down your pace and converse with your community.

Awesome little vegan place that opened on Troost! Food is delicious with some great choices (mac n' cheese is some of the best ever!), and the atmosphere is welcoming. Soon to be a regular spot for me and my family. I know I'm super excited to see another locally owned restaurant open in the area, and with a plant based menu!
