Char Restaurant

My personal experience at Char was delightful. The service was unmatched and the food held its own. My personal recommendation would be the 20 oz Cowboy Ribeye and a Sweet Potato. We ordered almost every dessert on the menu and each one has its own strengths. The dessert that shined the most of the selection offered by Char was by far the Caramel Cheesecake. 5/5 stars for the atmosphere, service and the quality of the food. There was not a single moment that we were not blown away by the etiquette of the servers, flavour of the food and ambiance of the restaurant.

My husband took me here for my birthday and the night started off great. The guy doing security out front was very pleasant and welcoming. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Kathryn, was great the entire night. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and onion rings and they were hot and delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the lamb chops and my husband ordered the range chicken. The lamb chops weren’t tender at all. They were very tough and chewy so I switched with my husband because I kept spitting it out. He said that there was barely any meat on it and there was a lot of fat. The chicken and potatoes were ok. I loved the gray with the potatoes but I didn’t eat much of the chicken because it wasn’t what I wanted. For dessert we ordered the pecan pie. The pie was very yummy. It tasted like old fashioned pecan candy which I thought was very unique because I’ve never known anyone to make the pie that way. Overall, I had a good dining experience but I gave this restaurant 3 stars because I was very disappointed with our main course. We spent almost $130 but we left unsatisfied and I was still a little hungry.

I always have good experiences when I visit Char. I feel right at home, they really know how to make guest feel heard. I ordered the wrong drink (my fault) and the waitress took it off and fixed me the correct one. I always get the glazed lamb and it is always delicious. Im a big fan of dessert, so trust me, try the pecan butter crunch cake.

Me and my husband went here on our anniversary for the first time and I must say it live up to “fine dining” our server was Damien he was the best and was so patient with it being our first time I’ll most definitely come back I had The Chop and the Steak with crab meat (take home meal) my husband had the chicken everything was special and on point from the moment we walked in to us walking out we made reservations and place a special request and they made sure that was available to us food was soft and juicy nothing was dried up

Cup of gumbo for an app, no filler crab cakes and the pecan caramel pie. Absolutely wonderful!!!!! This was my first time ever eating at a Char, I’m very pleased I picked the Jackson location for this experience. We were only passing through town and being on the road for the pass two weeks I’ve eaten a lot of the same food. This was definitely worth the stop.

Ok We have driven by the Char Restaurant lots of times today was the day my taste buds was blown away this is top chef Gordon Ramsay would enjoy this Restaurant our meal was awesome and our waitress Dusty was very helpful she knows her menu very well. The restaurant is very clean and staff are very friendly .And Wow the Dessert was delicious and delicious and awesome .
