Yeah so, I was in Ithaca for the night on the way between NYC and Niagara Falls. I'm from Australia and I was in the US for the first time. Great service, can't remember the guy's name but he was really helpful and friendly. I was enjoying my family's company, so I didn't really mind the wait, but that was about 15-20 minutes if it affects you. Lovely place, great environment. I'm 13 at the time of eating and writing, so I can't really judge yet, but this was without competition the best burger I've ever had. Again, I'm 13 so I have no idea what the beers were like. My dad said they were great though, I think he had one called the prison riot or something similar. If you're in Ithaca, this place is a must-go. 5/5 for a good reason.

The service was great. The food was hot and served in a generous portion. The outside patio was pet friendly. Overall that was good. But with 4 people drinking non alcohol drinks and a moderate lunch a with tip bill of $100.00 is very excessive. Not a place for a regular visit.

Ithaca Ale House has been one of my absolute favorite restaurants for years. When friends and family visited, I loved taking them there. I hadn't been to the new location but tried it for the first time recently. The food, as always, was outstanding. Definitely the best burgers around! Also, the best French onion soup I've ever had! However, I was super sad to see that they took the nachos off of the menu. It was a favorite of mine and became a quick favorite of everyone I introduced it to. Big loss. The staff seemed a bit scattered and overwhelmed- which was quite surprising given how on point they used to be. I also miss the ambiance of the old location. Yes, this space is larger, which is probably great for business. But I miss the neighborhood vibe of the former place. Despite a few let downs, I'll still be frequenting the Ale House. The food is just too good to turn down. P.S. Be prepared for a (worthwhile) wait. Put your name down and stroll the commons for a bit. Stop into Sunny Days while you wait. Best store ever!

This was a wonderful dining experience for my family. The menu had a wide selection of dishes ranging from salads to burgers. They had a lovely wine selection and an excellent selection of microbrews made in-house. The food was delicious and expertly prepared and well worth the money. The service was good and they take cash and cards. There is an ATM right next door if you want to take advantage of the cash discount. The only concern is parking as the Ithaca Downtown Commons is very pedestrian focused.

Secret, walk all the way to the back, past the restrooms and you can go out on the back patio. Big comfy couches and tables. Secluded quiet and intimate spot. They even brought our dinner out to us. Really nice, thank you.
This restaurant is downtown right off the commons near the Marriott. Food was great.

Lively atmosphere, with decent food. Overpriced. Weekends are packed with servers being overwhelmed. Waiters are hospitable, but being packed, customers were waiting for service. I guess they need more waiters. Artichoke heart pizza is a good one.

I was traveling through the area and stopped in at Ithaca Ale House. Our server was very friendly and helpful. There is an excellent selection of beer on tap. We only ordered appetizers, which all were excellent. I will definitely stop in for a meal next time I'm passing through.

We got the French onion soup, bree, apple pizza and garlic parm wings. The food was amazing, our server was great! The table was in a bit awkward of a spot and a little cramped. The beer is good, but wish they offered flights to try multiple fun beers.

Staff is friendly. The artichoke pizza and the huge portion of fish and chips hit the spot. The chicken spring rolls were tasty. Must try for a dinner.

There was a great variety of beer and food here, all reasonably priced. I had the fish and chips, and the piece of fish was one of the largest and meatiest I've been served in a very long time. The beer on the menu was not particularly focused on local or regional beer, but the variety was good and it was all craft produced. Our server was excellent and the seating was quite comfortable. The music was playing in the background, just loud enough, and definitely not too loud to disrupt conversation.
