Capistrano's

Looked for to arrive at this hotel, very beautiful environment, food is fine and delicious, thanks Victor and Maritza! Super big thank you to Greg at the bar (the restaurant was closed at the time so we just ate there)😉. Greg told us about rooms available when we thought there would not be. That made all the difference, thank you Greg again!!! Our stay was about a week and was the best stay, we'll be back!!!

Adequate, overpriced hotel food. Service was friendly. There was a large $14 romaine based salad and I asked to substitute spinach for the romaine. Server checked with someone and was told it's a $4 substitution fee. No thanks. Cajun chicken pasta was average. Good spicy, and the did add fresh jalapenos instead of the canned ones upon request. Be careful when leaving a tip as their tipping percent suggestion is based on food price plus tax! Tricky and unethical.

Capistrano's is located inside of The Embassy Suites Irving. I'll be honest...I was expecting over-priced and underwhelming room service. It seems that's just how most things go these days. I STAND CORRECTED. Capistrano's Trattoria is divine dining! Oh my Lord, it was simply outstanding. We had the Chicken Parmigiano and the Pan Seared Salmon. AMAZING. When we tucked into the Tiramisu, I swear I heard angels sing. It was so nice, we called and had them bring us another slice. As my 11 year old would say, it's bussin'. 😋

I have eaten here dozens of times in the last 10 week's, while the pipe break in my house forced us out and needed major repairs. The pizza is excellent, cooked in thier brick fired oven, as well as the best hamburgers around. Great Spinach salad, great cheesecake for desert, or chocolate lovers dream cake was our 2 favorites. Room service adds a 22% gratuity plus a $2 delivery fee, plus added tip for timely service can inflate the price quickly. A appetizer, burger, and desert will cost $35. You can spend $100 a night feeding 2 people very easy if not ordering hamburgers. It's worth it depending on your budget. Nothing bad on this menu, but after 10 weeks, we eat out 2-3 times a week for variety. The menu is limited and can get old after a while. I would highly recommend the pizza though, as nothing is spared while making, cooking, and serving you a generous sized pizza, (they only have 1 size which can feed 2 people or 1 very hungry person!).

Stayed at embassy at so tried the restaurant. Sat in the atrium section of the hotel so nice setting. Our server seemed a little off. Don’t know if he was new but he couldn’t really help when we asked a good vegetarian option. He was very good at checking in with us though. Food itself was alright. Did appreciate that you could order from room service menu as well since burger type items were not on the menu.

So, it's inside the Embassy Suites hotel...no hate...it was really, really nice to sit in the atrium and hear the fountain...it was relaxing. The food was pretty good and the service was impeccable. I really liked it and I was not a guest at the hotel...it was a relaxing dinner. I would recommend and I will likely return.
