Umami Burger

I was surprised. The quality of the food it was so delicious makes me crave it just thinking about it. The drinks were also spot on. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area, especially if you're about to cache a comedy show. Our waitress was amazing. She was helpful, attentive, and most importantly nice.

I had Umami once up in Pasadena over 10 yrs ago and it was really good. Today was my second time and I was super excited but unfortunately just did not taste the same. They used to ask how you like your meat done. Waitress never asked. Maybe she forgot to ask but either way I was assuming since they didnt ask that all meats were cooked medium. All the burgers came out pretty overcooked and a bit dry. Still tasted fresh and good but I was hoping for that thick juicy patty they used to have that first time I tried. Unfortunately the patties this time were much thinner. Burger was good, wasnt salty like in n out, had a nice char to it but a bit overcooked and dry. Prices were decent $11-13 for a high quality burger. However browsed the beer menu and at $8 a bottle was too pricey imo

Son recommended this place because he know I love a great burger place, he wasn’t wrong. We both had the Black Garlic Burger, Tots with three cheese stuffed inside and parmesan sprinkled on the outside. Had the Garlic Fries, Sweet Potato and one other. Adrian was our server and made some great recommendations. They make an amazing Bloody Mary here as well. Quick and friendly service and lots of room for everyone.

The food is great and our servers are awesome everytime! Shoutout to Brian and the kitchen staff who makes us feel special when he brings out our order (sorry I didn't get your name). We got the korean burger, sunnyside burger, lettuce wrapped truffle burger, and truffle fries. (I hope I got that right >_<). I took down a star because the truffle fries are no longer what they used to be (shoestring fries packed with more truffle flavor doused in white cheese and chives). Wish they could bring that back and this place would be solid for all of us again. We didn't go here for a while grieving the loss of them fries, and overall just no longer come here as often as we would like. But that could be for the best for our diets anyways so ✌

Can't give this restaurant 5 stars despite their pretty good vegan beyond burger because the portion is a little on the small side. Although their service is good when you eat in you should never order takeout. I ordered my daughter a sandwich and drink and a burger for myself. They forgot to give us the drink not to mention by the time we got home my burger was all soggy because they got the sauce consistency wrong and the flavor was a bit off.

UMAMI an edgy industrial space with vibrant graphic walls, perfect meet up with friends and family. Love the savory spicy chicken wings and crispy chicken burger. The team at UMAMI are one of the best, always there before you even ask. They've made our visit a memorable one. I highly recommend UMAMI to satisfy your burger cravings.
