Skyline Chili

As I sit in Firehouse Subs next door I reflect on all the fond memories we shared together the past 10 years, Skyline on 86th. Lunch breaks have not been the same since you’ve been gone. Although the sign on your door says “please visit our other indy locations” - to which I have been doing - they will never be THIS location, MY location. I will continue to visit in hopes that your store has reopened. Until then, a piece of me will be missing.

Wow. I just had the most wonderful experience at this skyline chili. The two young men that were working were outstanding. They were so friendly and took such pride in their work. The food was perfect!! They kept the place so clean. The one kid that was cleaning the tables, chairs, and floors, paid such attention to detail. In this time of a global pandemic, I really appreciate that. They were so welcoming and were all smiles. I HIGHLY recommend this particular establishment, 10/10. Keep up the good work there!!! ❤️

This was my first time having Skyline Chili. Overall, the food was very tasty and the service was quick. Everything was very hot and top quality. The staff was very attentive though they seemed overwhelmed during the lunch traffic; I think they should have had three people working. The inside of the location is pretty drab and boring but nothing bad about it. I think they could clean the tables a little more and add pictures / descriptions to the menu. As a first time customer, I just ordered what my coworker ordered in front of me because I didn't know that the "ways" were.

On our way to Chicago we stopped at the Skyline Chili in Pyramid Place Shopping Center in Indianapolis, IN. We were tired of driving from North Carolina, and hungry, and it had started to rain. We weren't familiar with Skyline Chili and a young woman working there very patiently explained the chili options to us -- three-way, four-way, five-way (the works), made recommendations, and let us taste the chili first to make sure we'd like it. She served up generous portions over spaghetti noodles. Well, it was very good! And so was the customer service! I didn't get her name but she deserves some recognition. Skyline Chili at Pyramid was (is) a good choice. :)

The staff were amazing at this location. They took the time to explain what Skyline chili was as this was our first time. They even went above and beyond by letting us try the food before we ordered to ensure we liked it and didn' waste our money. For those that have never been the chili here isn't tomato based but dark chocolate and cinnamon. It reminds me more of an Indian dish and spices. Very good and the amount of cheese on my picture is the standard portion. I did get a large but there are smaller sizes to choose from. My opinion, fo give it a try!
