Souper Salad

What can I say, it's one of those places you go to eat on Sunday with a friend Or family to gossip. It's also a place you can stop to eat on a weekday during lunch or after work. The business itself has undergone several owners, but the quality remains the same. Usually, when you walk in, there's no one at the register because of how they schedule staff, but within 30 seconds, someone will check you in. Self serve buffet, four different salads, soups, desserts, snacks, fruits, and drinks. Soups vary Daily, and clam chowder is only have served on weekends. ** The reason for four stars is because most foods sit idle for too long and are cold or stale by the time you collect it on your plate. **

The salad that had cranberries and pecans in it was a little to dressed for my liking. I don't care for much dressing on my salad. The lettuce and the greens mixture looked good too. I wish some of the vegetable toppings had signs so you would be sure what they were. I had the red beans, sausage and rice soup. It was delicious! The cornbread was the (what I call ) real kind, not sweet. Even the honeydew melon was ripe and sweet. There are a lot of choices to be made here. If you are still hungry, go through the line again. Just get a clean plate. And it's affordable too.

Always like coming here (salad lover). However, recently had some dental work, so wasn't so sure I could eat salad yet. A little difficulty with the salad, cucumbers are out...soup, mac and cheese went down good and definitely no problem with the strawberry shortcake...lol. If you've never eaten here before, you should give them a try...much more than just salad...reasonably priced for all you can eat.

I gave this restaurant five stars basically for their clam chowder, it's off the hook. If you want better chowder you'll have to go to New England,or hire a chef. Their salad items always look fresh. They have Vegan vegetable soup,and now offer Apple cobbler,it is just right,you can taste the flavor of the apples w/o any overpowering flavor from the sugar or cinnamon give it a try.

I like this restaurant, and lunch here about once a month or so. Salad bar good and fresh with a good variety, soups good, corn bread is wonderful, and for the money well worth it and I am never disappointed. Wait staff always friendly and attentive. Souper Salad will continue to be on my personal "restaurant row".

This place isn't easy to find if you've never been there. Find the Chili's along the feeder road and pull in there. It will be in the same shopping center to the right. The food is okay here -- comparable to a Cici's pizza buffet. The salad bar is pretty extensive, but there are other food items included -- soup, of course, baked potatoes, rolls, corn bread, soft serve ice cream, etc. I recommend not tipping until after your meal, depending on quality of table service they give.
