Toasters Houston

I really enjoyed this place! The restaurant was small and old but well kept. The workers were really nice and personable. The food was made fresh and delicious! We started with a vanilla latte and cappuccino and shared a blueberry muffin. I ordered the pork chop with eggs and hash browns with a biscuit. My wife had an omelette and my daughter ordered the steak and eggs. I also ordered a pancake and it was one of the best pancakes I have ever had! We were very satisfied with our meal and definitely plan on coming back.

Are you kidding me?? Did we just stumble upon Houston’s best kept secret? How was this place almost empty on a Saturday afternoon? We were looking for a good, local, unique brunch, and boy did we find it! Our server was very welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent, well portioned, and reasonably priced. My kids shared the tiramisu pancakes and devoured it. My husband had the huevos rancheros which were served like tostadas. He and the kids loved those and are currently begging to return tomorrow so they can order it themselves. I had the country breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were so good! Eggs and hash browns, perfect. I have to imagine people just don’t know this place is here? We’re not very familiar with Houston, but the location does seem a bit tucked away. I really hope this place is still here next time we visit! Or better yet, maybe they could relocate to South Austin? But then we probably couldn’t get in without a reservation.
