BYOB and serve drinks yourself. Dishes in Omaha se are very creative and tasty. You could feel how much work Chief You and his wife put in them. Price is very reasonable too. The dining environment feels like home. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff, mama-san came and hung out at our table, the order the dishes came out was excellent and all played very nicely together. The combinations of miso, salt, like, wasabi, ginger and more were all expertly utilized.chef Hiro and waitress miyuki did a great job explaining what to eat with what and how to combine the flavors properly.
Dinner was $110, plus tip, totally worth. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. My favorites were the amaebi, chuutoro, and Tako dishes.

Incredible omakase, really a hidden gem of a place. The owners are incredibly kind, and have a great sense of humor, but above all they serve up some delicious food! This is one of the best meals I've had, competing with some Michelin starred omakase places, for far less in price and in exclusivity. Would recommend to anyone coming to Honolulu!

Best sushi I've ever had. Highly recommend doing the omakase dinner, you will not be disappointed. Dish after dish of amazing bites! Feels like eating at an old family friends' house. It's very intimate and cozy, while still being a relaxed atmosphere.

Ate here earlier this year when I was on vacation. It was just amazing. Price was unbeatable too for a top quality Omakase. The chef is just so awesome. We were just going to go once but ended up going twice on the trip it was sooo good

Have to say this place is excellent. Small portions but big taste. The amount is just right for the price. Don't come expecting to be stuffed. Come expecting to be satisfied. I wish I had time for more dishes. Definitely a great hidden gem. While there the only customers were Japanese people. Can't argue with that. Keiko is lovely and so friendly. I couldn't understand most of what she was saying though (I'm bad with accents) but it was an excellent experience nonetheless. I would highly recommend to anyone coming to the area.

As a picky eater as I am, I can say that I had the best omakase here. I didn’t have a reservation because I didn’t plan to come here, but the owners kindly took us in, I felt bad afterwards because it was kind of making them work overtime (so if you want to come here, make a reservation!). It was a quiet more home-style restaurant, and the owner really knows how to make sushi. It reminds me of midnight diner, if you’ve watched that show before. This place is BYOB, and you can get your drink from times supermarket which was just 1 min walk from the restaurant (real nice on a stormy night!). I like BYOB a lot since you’re really paying for the food not markup for the drinks. The night we dined in, there was a rare blizzard warning in oahu, so we luckily got to enjoy the whole restaurant and the owners’ service to ourselves. The owners are very nice to talk to. Above all this, the portion is good. Just when we thought it’s over, there was 3 more courses coming! I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back again if I have a chance.

We ordered dinner Togo. Seafood don and sushi combo.
Sashimi is reasonably fresh. Of course can't compare to the one's in Japan but better than the ones in California.
Not very good value though. Seafood don is $25 and sushi combo is $30. Didn't feel it's worth it.
Will not return.

Sushi You is high quality fish, yet very casual and laid back sushi resturant. Husband and wife owned and run; the chef worked and owned a resturant in New York for 20+ years before coming to Hawaii. The owner/chef puts his heart and soul in making each dish. Set aside at least two hours for this delicious Omakase (chef's choice meal). It's BYOB. Get your own bottle water and hot tea from the drink area for free.
