Kula Shave Ice

We always look up the "best" places to eat local food whenever we travel. We have been to several Hawaiian islands and have tried several "best" shave ice places. It's not even close, this is The Best shave ice of all the "best" places on the Hawaiian Islands. When we said we were going to get more shave ice on our last day on the island, my six year old said, "can we please go to the good place, not the other places?" So kids know it's the best, too! Also, their acai bowls are amazing, too.

Fantastic shaved ice! Stoked to get real fruit in our first authentic Hawaiian shaved ice on our vacation. We shared a cold brew coffee (with just a dash of maple syrup, so good!!) the Lava Flow and the Poi Acai Bowl. I would definitely recommend all three! The service was fantastic and knowledgeable about their products. The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and we enjoyed a nice chat with local Richard and his pup Amigo. We had a great time and can't wait to come back!

The shave ice options all looked spectacular. Since we couldn't decide, we ordered a large acai bowl instead. No extras - strawberry, banana, blueberries with granola & honey. The large cup was reasonably solid - a firm soft serve consistency. Not too sweet. The large size was plenty for 2 slightly hungry adults to share. Now to decide what shave ice flavor to get tomorrow... Update: We tried the Local shave ice with Lilikoi and Soursop with the coconut cream cap. I was a tad uncertain about the haupia, but it was quite good against the soursop!

I had an absolutely delightful experience at The Kula Shave Ice Stand next to the Hilo Farmers Market! The flavors were incredibly delicious, and the ice was so smooth and creamy, making it the perfect refreshing treat on a hot day. The freshness of the ingredients truly shone through in each delightful bite. I highly recommend this stand for anyone looking for a top-notch shave ice experience. Five stars all the way! I enjoyed and recommend the Big Island Love.

Potentially the best shave ice I've ever had. Love how they pride themselves in using quality, organic ingredients. The flavors I got were coconut and cacao, but I wished I just had coconut for the whole bowl because it was the better flavor. The (whipped) haupia cream and coconut sweetened condensed milk were the star of the show though and really made this place stand out for me. Will def be back next time I'm on this island!
