Food was good although the entree Dips were very poorly presented - bread was bland (like a breadstick you'd get at woolies cut into thick pieces) and there were a few pieces of garlic bread in there. Also dips were smushed against the salad. Not sure why a garden salad was there in the first place. Atmosphere was great though.

Lovely relaxed RSL. Super friendly fun natured staff, good food, good prices. The veal parma is delicious and great value. The sweet potato fries are pricey at $16 but tasty. The roast of the day was delicious and a good quantity. The chocolate mousse was a nice way to round off dinner. This is good badic every day Aussie food at a warm n friendly RSL. We liked it was not noisy at all. Even a few young couples with babies were there and it was not noisy for them. They cater for kids. A family of 2 adults, 2 kids can eat for $45 which is great value if they're on a budget. Beers for a pint are only about $8. A very good selection of craft beers too.

We've been to the Highett RSL many times now and have always found the food, drinks and prices to be great so much so that we often take our family and freinds as guests. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only gripe we have here is that the parking can sometimes be problematic however, we still highly recommend it.

Enjoyed Christmas dinner here. New Chef and New menu. It was a busy day but service was very slow. The order was taken in good time but had a long wait for the meals to arrive. Had a 1pm sitting and soup arrived at 1.40 and main at 2.15. Wait Staff appeared to be very inexperienced. Table was not cleared of crackers and used crockery, until desert time despite them walking past us empty handed every few minutes.
