Sakura Do

Sakura Do was recommended to me, so I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did! Some places try to drag people in by flashy things, but this place is humble and the people are genuine. Each dish I received was flavorful, and so much different from the other places I’ve been. You will not be disappointed with anything you order here.

How can this place have more than 3 stars. Made reservations for 5-530 party of 9. Table was set up, time of entry they were about half full. An hour later 8 people excluding us are here. I feel bad for them as they seem very short staffed but a round of waters and few Miller lites with just soup and salad and hour later. Don't count me recommending it coming back. No sushi no hibachi. 1.5 hours later meals start coming out. Portions are small Start to finish 2.5 hours

First off all these negative views are false. They have the best sushi around, the sushi chef was wearing gloves the entire time and changing them. The food is always excellent it’s quiet and quaint. The owners are very friendly and the food always comes out in a timely manner. The bathrooms are clean and the place does not smell bad. Don’t listen to these negative reviews try for yourself. Prices for the sushi and food are also the best prices for the quality of fish they use. The people leaving negative reviews know nothing about sushi and market prices and feel as though they should have a discount apparently. Also traditional sushi, Sashimi, and nigiri is not meant to mounded on your plate it’s small portions and that’s the way it’s supposed to be. So please gon enjoy this eatery for yourself before listening to these reviews.

I go here about every other time I eat out. I have never had a bad meal here and because it is definitely my favorite restaurant. They are a small mom and pop type of place, sometimes it will take them a little long to prepare your food because of this but it is worth the wait. The Veronica roll is on the internet menu, but not the house, its probably the best thing I've ever taste, it is double tempura shrimp, crab, cucumber, cream cheese, topped with spicy mayo and sesame seeds.

My husband and I recently moved to the area, and decided to try this place because of all of the reviews. What a disappointment! First, the place looks like a dump from the outside, but it gets worse when you walk in. Smelled of urine and fish and the bathroom was atrocious! The restaurant is run by a husband and wife who are really nice, but that's about it. We had paid for 5 rolls but then noticed that he wasn't wearing gloves when preparing the sushi which is a no-no if you care about your health. Judging from the bathroom we knew had washing standards must of been low. We ended up throwing away all the rolls. NOT WORTH THE RISK unless you enjoy the occasional listeria.

After a friend's recommendation, we visited here for dinner. It was everything they told us and more. We were instantly welcomed and treated like family. Service was friendly and helpful and the special sushi dishes and shrimp tempura was amazing. This is one of those places you want to keep to yourself, but can't help to share with everyone how good it is.
