Waitrose

Waitrose is not a bad store, but I do have some qualms about it. The first is that unlike the Co-op in Helensburgh center, they don't seem to have 1% milk. Back home in America, I drink low-fat dairy drinks, and 2% over here is slightly more pasteurized from what I can tell. This heavily impacts my enjoyment of cereal, and I'm a cereal FIEND. Frosted Shreddies simply aren't as good with 2% milk in my opinion. The second issue I have is their candy selection. They are often good for your run of the mill chocolates, but fruit pastilles are very rarely around when I look for them. The same goes for tuna and cucumber sandwiches. Tuna mayo and tuna sweet corn are good enough substitutes, but it is frustrating when I can't find my favorite lunch sandwich there. I will say, we got a nice raspberry cake for my aunt's birthday on Thursday, and it was FANTASTIC. The place is definitely worth visiting for locals and travelers, alike.

Very good bakery (especially their baguettes) and it can be pricey but that’s waitrose way and it’s usually quiet but watch out for those school kids before they invade your shopping time. I’ve heard they contacted the school and they’re now doing a 30 people in at a time rule and that’s very good but it would be a long wait if your a pupil trying to get some lunch. Proud to have a Waitrose in Helensburgh because there isn’t many Waitrose that I know of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great healthy full breakfast and kids meals. The full breakfast was not swimming in grease - yeah!!!!. The kids food came fresh and hot. The cakes, melt in your mouth and were not stale. The service was exemplar with the lady even asking if she could get me chai tea from the shop floor. Definate value for money as the kids meal are £4 and the all day breakfast are @ £5 for a small portion and @ £7 for a large portion. We will definately be doing this on a regular basis.
