We were the only people seated in the restaurant. Our orders were taken quickly. Our salads had big chunks of the lettuce core which were brown and the cabbage in the salad that should be purple was black. My partner order chicken fried steak and I ordered veggie plate with the salad. The food was just ok, my okra was dry and spiny. The real turn off was the constant giggling and gossiping of the 2 waitresses. They were talking about other customers. I found it very unprofessional.

Excellent service. Clean restaurant. The food was great. I had the chicken & dumplings off the lunch menu, & they were fantastic, as was the blackened peas. My aunt had the char grilled chicken & it was good as well. My mother had the veggie plate & liked it as well. I highly recommend if traveling through Hearn Texas.

I ordered the steak salad - with the steak cooked 'extra rare' and they came through! When I saw my salad with the pieces of steak around the plate I was expecting a disaster. WRONG! This salad was so perfect I didn't even use salad dressing!! And the fried zucchini - don't get caught sleeping on that!!

Stopped here on the way through to Houston. Service was good, very friendly staff and restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Food was overall disappointing. Steak was dry and overcooked, fries were bland and some were cold, meatloaf did not have good flavor and the "special sauce" was just salsa. Daughter couldn't eat her corn dog because it was too crunchy. Mozarella sticks were crumbly and all the breading was coming off.
