If the definition of amazing was a restaurant it would be Mabel gray. James beard nominated, Michigan native Chef Rigato & the crew at Mabel knock it out of the park. If you are looking for a suggestion its simple. Get the chefs choice dining experience. As each of the 8 courses arrive each bite delivers your palette with something similar to the movie Ratatouille when Anton Ego had flashbacks to his childhood. …. Ok no flashbacks, but definitely taking those taste buds to flavor town. Do your due diligence. Book that reservation in advance & put that deposit down. You will be happy you did.

Food and drinks were incredible! Highly recommend the full experience and sitting at the bar was nice. The food is absolutely amazing from the corn, the zucchini, the burger, all the way to the sou vide steak! Cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you for an incredible dinner Saturday evening! We will definitely be back!

First of all I've been here four times in the past six months and have had a beyond excellent experience every single time! All four times myself and my dinner partner(s) got the tasting menu. All four times everything was delicious. It wasn't a matter of what I didn't like but what of the night was my least favorite. The staff is so nice and personable. They are incredibly accommodating to food allergies and very attentive. I've read some other reviews and was surprised at some of the negative ones so feel it necessary to share my experiences. In my experience you can only book reservations online and it is by reservation only. When you book online you will see what type of seating is available - bar, patio, or dinning room, and choose from what is available. There is a deposit for each guest that will come off your final bill. They do automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill, which in my experience the server has always told us when they brought the bill. None of these things bother me in the slightest because the food is superb, the service is amazing, and the overall experience is unique and never the same. Mabel Gray is by far my favorite restaurant for any sort of special occasion and I highly recommend anyone who has the opportunity to visit do so!

A completely incredible mother's day experience! I cannot give the staff enough praise! The service was impeccable and the food matched. Each dish was an experience that will not be forgotten and will definitely inspire my own experimentation in the kitchen. The experience could honestly not have been better in anyway shape or form, they truly gave it their all and let each plate prove their point for them. Each dish easily got an 11/10 Service staff was polite and informative, the perfect cherry ontop of your meal. 11/10 Would I go again definitely and I will absolutely bring a date here to impress. I will definitely come again and will recommend them to all of my friends and coworkers too!

I would highly recommend this restaurant, it was arguably the best restaurant experience I’ve had. The food was good and the service was even better. My wife and I got the tasting menu and it was definitely worth it, I also got the drink paring option to go along with the tasting menu. Max our server was phenomenal, he was very knowledgeable and passionate about every single dish and drink that came to our table. I love going to a restaurant and not just being handed the food but also learning something about it. The entire staff here definitely delivers on all cylinders, we accidentally spilled a drink at our table and before I could even react there were 3 staff members wiping it up with the 4 bringing a replacement😬. Great place and thee best oysters I’ve ever had so far.

We were so excited to eat here because of all the wonderful things we had heard. We made reservations almost 3 months in advance to dine on a TUESDAY evening. When we arrived, we were seated at the bar, which allows for very little space and zero privacy for a conversation. Not ideal for a date night, especially when we had made reservations so long ago and had to leave a $50 deposit upon reserving. Still looking forward to a good meal, we looked at the menu. BE AWARE that there is a set 8 course menu each day. If you don’t like what is on it, you’re stuck. Apparently, we didn’t realize that August was Vegan month. I don’t have an issue with it, I would just never CHOOSE to eat a restaurant that only gave that option. We were determined to make the best of it, and the first two courses and the tomato were very promising and the service was great, but the entree and most of the wine pairings were very undesirable and to leave paying almost $300 for vegetables and sub par wine, was very disappointing. I thought the staff was great and the chef did a decent job making some pretty good vegan creations, but our experience did not make us want to return😞

Fantastic dining experience. Had to eat early and sit at the bar to get in. In no way felt we missed out on anything by sitting at the bar. Actually made it much more personal. Ordered the tasting menu. Every ingredient and cooking method was explained to us as each dish was served. Menu changes often and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.
