Primavera Pub

I am so disappointed in myself! This place was so amazing and I forgot to take pics of our meals, but that's ok, because now I have an excuse to go back! Everything about Primavera Pub is supreme! The atmosphere, food, and service were all quite excellent. The killer is how reasonable the prices are! We had an appetizer, a scotch, a soda, a soup, and two meals...all for under $58! That's unheard of with today's prices and inflation!!! We didn't have cheap meals either. My lady had a rib eye and I had the beef, sausage, and shrimp combo. I counted the shrimp, which were big mind you, and there were 7 of them. I still can't get over the value. To top it off, everything was delicious!

Great experience dining here tonight. The food is great, but surprisingly very reasonably priced. Portions were huge. The server was excellent. She even brought us a rose for international women's day. Unfortunately, as we were so full, we had no room left for dessert (the dessert menu looks excellent). I can understand why they have been listed among the best restaurants in Connecticut for many consecutive years!

The overall cleanliness/ambiance of the restaurant was on point. The food was flavorful. One tip of advice, if you want your steak medium-well, you’ll have to order it medium. My steak was well done after I asked for medium well. It was a bit tough to eat. The circle fries are the best and not mentioned in the menu, so always ask! The broccoli rabe was really good too. I am not a fan of the saffron rice, but others in my group enjoyed it. Caldo verde was delicious and on the potato side.

I will say is good for the 4th times we visited, but on the 5th times they are loosened their touch, maybe could be a new chef, because we ordered the same food when we go, and we already know the texture of the Octopus, this 5th time the food was hard to chew, but I will give another try next month.

This Pub is by far, the most precious hidden gem we've been!!!! We went with friends that go to the Primavera all the time and suggested we go with them. We just loved this restaurant!!!! Very cozy and friendly. The food was amazing, I truly mean that!!! Everything is so fresh and delicious, it just can't be described any other way!!!! I wish that I could give this restaurant more than 5 star's!!!!! Amazing!!! Thank you!

This place is a well kept secret in Newington. The best Portuguese cuisine I have ever tasted the seafood mixed plater (Octopus), in my opinion, should be their signature dish. I didn't add photos because when you look at the menu online, you'll not believe your eyes. Great family restaurant and very reasonable prices on all meals with super customer service. This restaurant is now on my local top ten restaurants to eat with my friends and loved ones. Do not miss out on a wonderful time and large portions. "ON MY TOP TEN!

I eat here almost weekly. This restaurant is amazing! Such delightful Portuguese food! I recommend Primavera to anyone looking for a fine and delicious dining experience. Try the bife en pedra or the bitoque! It is splendid and the staff there are always amazing and extremely friendly and welcoming! Make sure you order espresso and coffee after your meal!
