Favourite Kitchen

I have been here many times. However today was the last straw. It was quite packed and the manager Mr Lee tries to give me a makeshift table which we the cleaning station even though there were other empty tables. He just flipped the table cloth around even thought it was full of stains and insisted he cannot do anything. Last, he told us to leave. Such audacity and rude manager. When confronted him in kitchen, he don't dare to look up and claimed he was very busy. Whenever was in charge, this Mr Lee would cost you your business. I would never be back ever again. It was how you made your customers feel that left an impression.

Staff are very unfriendly, and lack all customer service skills. They just dumped plates on the table without a word, and couldn't even crack a smile the whole night. The food, whilst quite decent serving sizes was very bland and lacked any flavour. We had 3 small children in the group who were taken over the road for an ice cream as they would not have liked the restaurant's offerings, and received very dirty looks from staff when they came back. Will not be going back again!

Favourite Kitchen, which has changed hands and names, has beem our go-to Chinese restaurant for nearly 20 years. Excellent service, food and beverages. If you're looking for Yum Cha in the Hampton/Brighton area of Melbourne, look no further. Any other dishes you love are also sure to be there. Highly recommended.

Have eaten here probably a dozen times in past twelve months. Really nice surprise to find very good yam Cha/dim sum locally. The quality is certainly as good as China Town in the city, Springvale or other more asiatic locations. N addition to dim sum, the combination crispy noodles are a real winner!

Lots of Hiding cost not on list, charge $2 per person for water, not on menu. Service is bad, Susan will show you her unhappy face, so did the male manager , they both very rude especially when they know you use scoopon, they will find all term and condition in the scoopon or on their website to stop you to use scoopon in order to charge you full price . For the $40 scoopon, I spend totolly $240, they always has excuse to stop you to use it. They said they have lots customers has issue to use scoopon, then I think is your problem. They said they always charge $2 pp for water which is not true, I been there 3 times , never been charged for plain water. Price is expensive compare other yum cha, not many choices, and tast too salty. Best thing about them us the toilet, clean and big, the one star is for toilet. Do not go there. Bad.
