Hagan's Grill

There is a reason why Hagan's is consistently packed with people. The food may just be the best in the Hampton Beach area. Everything from the app to the desert were phenomenal. Prosciutto Wrapped Cod, Shrimp Linguine and Crispy Skin Salmon. All fresh and perfectly cooked. Then a brownie sundae to end it all. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and recommended a bourbon when the one I wanted was 86'd. Did I use that right? 86'd? I don't work in the industry, I just hang out in them. Gimme a break

My husband and I found this place by searching for places to eat while on vacation, and I am so thrilled we did. This was some of the best food we’ve had in quite some time. The goat cheese fritter salad is SUCH an experience. The decor is simple yet really tasteful. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming and our waiter was really funny and very kind. The experience was over all so wonderful and if we visit NH again we’ll be sure to be back!!!

So atmosphere is nice and staff was great over the phone and in person & was accurate in the 15 minute to ready estimate for take out - the reason for the poor review is I ordered a burger well done w/ significant emphasis I did not want any Mayo/sauce … opened the takeout container as I was driving away to find burger smothered on both sides with sauce and the kicker being rare in middle … 1 star is probably a bit harsh but the request was not unreasonable and more of a suggestion to those who order to be aware … working in a restaurant is not easy but at same time, my dog scored a great meal tonight Changed review to 3 stars since Owner was willing to reach out and offer amends - I greatly appreciate just the offer — it was a tough night in that we had some hungry kids in the car after the beach and it was just one of those”oh man” moments! All is good

Hampton's hidden treasure. This place is absolutely one of the best uptown restaurants you will find on the NH Seacoast. Located in Hampton center this jewel of an establishment is one not to skip. Arrived on a snowy Friday evening and was seated immediately. Started with the seafood chowder that was out of this world, then had sirloin steak with shrimp, mashed potato and butternut squash. A total 10!! Dessert was a chocolate bread pudding that again, was to die for. Atmosphere is just about perfect with lighting that doesn't make you feel as if your on Broadway. Jake our server was attentive and offered perfect service, a definite asset to this business. My only regret was never trying this place sooner. Enjoy!!!! :)

Glad we tried it ! We had no idea such an upscale place was right in our backyard. We will be back. If you want a special meal but dread dealing with Portsmouth, stay local and come to Hagan’s. Wonderful cozy atmosphere, very impressive menu, delicious food, welcoming service, and reasonable prices. My husband and I ate in the bar; we both had chicken and shrimp piccata. It was very well executed and a generous portion. There were so many wonderful sounding choices that we had trouble deciding what to get, so we’ll just have to return to try them all !

Like, wow! A restaurant that delivers excellent service and terrific food and doesn't blame Covid-19 or a worker shortage for it's shortcomings (it doesn't need to). Really, I saw two servers handle two full dining rooms and the service was excellent, the food delivered quickly and hot, the drinks amazing. I don't know why I don't eat there more often.
