Went through the drive thru and ordered a rib tip dinner. The rib tips were really tender but the bbq sauce wasn't the greatest - tasted like open pit and was not a thick sauce, but more watered down. The fries were hot and good and so was the soup (lemon rice).

They are usually good but the gyro tasted funny I haven’t been there in awhile but I took the drive for a gyro not sure what changed! It’s not there usual.

I was driving in the Hammond area with my girlfriend and dog. We were trying to find a quick spot for dinner. We went inside to order. I’d recommend the worker to be more courteous with someone with a service dog when they first come in. She had a nasty flare to her. I’d definitely kick her to the curb, but I won’t take her actions out on this tasty little joint.
We ordered a medley of food to experiment with. We got the Gyros W/Fries, a Hamburger, a Hot Dog W/Fries and only mustard on the Dog, a Large Diet Pepsi, and a Quart of Lemon Rice Soup. The food was ready in roughly five minutes. We sat a booth to eat most of it. It was more dive-style seating than relaxing, but you can’t expect much with a greasier cuisine such as this place.
I’ll start off by saying that the Gyros were freaking amazing. They surely pile the meat on their Gyros here. I’d say half of my meat dang near fell off! The Fries were served in a super big bag! They were okay. I wasn’t crazy about them. The Hamburger was simple, yet delicious. It had a nice size and also a good cook to it. The Hot Dog was a simple Dog as well, but I’d say it still beats Arnie’s in Munster, ironically. The Diet Pepsi was good in flavor, but for a Large, it was rather small. I ate most of the soup at home, as it was served extremely hot. It was great soup. I’d enjoy it more if they went heavier on the rice, but the lemon zest was clear.
Despite the first encounter we had with an employee, I believe it was the owner, he had a friendly demeanor towards our dog, so that eased the situation. The cashier that took our order was friendly and knowledged. I’d say their pretty solid for customer service.
Overall, this place may not be extremely cheap, but they bring some decent flavors for each item you get. Most items seem to be large in portion-size, so that’s always a plus. I recommend them if you’re in the mood for something fast, greasy, or even both! I’ll be sure to visit here again!

I asked for a double bacon cheeseburger and the Cashier got confused and she thought I said eight double bacon cheeseburgers. While being on the phone she did not initially tell me how much the double bacon cheeseburgers were. The total came up to $94. A means 1. When you pronounce eight you hear the letter T. When I got there and she rung me up, we both look completely confused. I stated to hear I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger. She then called the owner up there and the owner pretty much insult me stating that I did not know how to speak English. I feel like he got away with it due to me being a black woman. I told him that A means one not eight. Horrible customer service. You do not fight with the customer. Customer is always right.

The Columbia Gyro on Columbia Ave. food is great but I’m guessing the guy who’s the owner is very rude. I for one I don’t eat sauce on any meat but polish or hotdog. Not even my bbq ribs or chicken. I go and order 5 wings which came out to $16. I get my food it’s bbq sauce on it. I take it back in and say hi I ordered plain he says no you said bbq. For one I didn’t even go in there with an attitude but him telling me what TF I said gave me one, I know how I eat my food and I know what I said. He says well you can wait 15 mins or get your money back. He so disrespectful I will NEVER be back EVER

If you like gyro, Columbia Gyro has the best combination of good price and good taste. Their feta is not the richest tasting feta that I've ever had and their tomatoes and onions are such a disappointment that I throw them in the trash, but their gyro meat and pita bread are tasty, and their price can't be beat. We buy two platters for about $28, and one platter is a full meal for our family of six (all children under 12). The second platter is our Sunday lunch after church.
