Huddle House

Very busy Huddle House next to Love's Travel Plaza. Kristin did an amazing job waiting on tables and refilling drinks. She seemed to be the only waitress for at least 10 tables. While the breakfast was good, it was nice watching people enjoy food and conversation without getting upset with food delivery taking a little longer than usual. I watched as strangers shared a table and guests being polite and friendly to the waitress. I can only wish this was normal in America and not the exception.

When we came in, three waitresses were standing around talking. It took forever for someone to come take our order, mind you we were one of two tables being occupied. Next, the flies. I have never been in a restaurant with so many flies. They were on the table, the glass, the floor, and on the food. I'm not talking about just 1 or 2 flies, there was a good 10 to 15 just everywhere When we were finally brought the food, they were missing my wife's gravy and biscuit, which we didn't stick around for because this place is so nasty, the service is slow and rude, and the food is ok at best. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give a zero i would. 1st sign says under staff be patient. 2nd they had 2 cooks one might have been training for what we saw(but no one said anything)3rd 4 waitresses )now it was like none of them got along). Now it took a whole hr for us to get our food bottom mention the staff was really rude. I mean grits,2 eggs n bacon with a southwest bowl and it took an hour come on it was not busy. And it was like no one was talking and communicating cause most of our food was luke warm. Took so long had to put everything in to go box n leave.
