Pie & Peas Shop

Always tend to visit the market when I'm in Halifax usually visiting the vape shop 'smokers corner' which is good value. Besides this there is a great sweet shop and plenty of places to buy nice clothes, diy stuff and get a decent well priced coffee. The market is full of history and has a great atmosphere which takes you back in time, far more interesting than the high street in my opinion :)

Wow, with attention to detail on the building. This market houses, so many delights. From the meat counter where the ham is perfect. To the vegetable stall, where the veg is fresh and enjoyable to pick. My favourite though. Is the food hall section. Where there is something for everyone. My favourite though, being a vegitarian is ' The Grain' where you're made very welcome, whilst waiting for homemade food, which is not only delicious, but carefully thought out, bringing together a fusion of flavours, that leave you very satisfied inded 😊

Market great place it the heart of halifax and lots of happy memories of great shops but now calderdale council are destroying history and people livelihood due crippling rents and forcing the stall holder to close going to be another to be destroyed by lining council pockets why don't councillors of caldetdale and our MP also mayor stop having luncheons or fancy dinners on tax payer and put that in the pot and reduce rents on shops in halifax instead of leaving our town with empty premises because spending money on wrong prohects why don't the take a pay cut and put back into the money pot for this town as they are here for public to destroy this market as they are will be the thing that will definitely finish halifax off start supporting public markets
