Like going back in time a real traditional pub with a good selection of ales didn't eat there although it was a steak night

Great pub in halifax tucked away up cobbled Road to back of pub. Friendly bar staff and spot on beer. A proper boozer. We're not local ,South Leeds but every time we go to halifax we make a point of paying a call after shopping. Always Friendly locals.

Great value on a Monday. Decent beer. Friendly staff. Only problem is the leaky urinal pipes in the men's toilets.

Normally a good atmosphere with great music. Last came mid Tuesday afternoon so few in and little atmosphere. Bar staff were still great.

We visited this great traditional real ale pub in Halifax
A bit hidden away, ut real ale drinkers must find it
Victorian inside drinking rooms 7 great real ales on hand pump with friendly staff local following there is also a fantastic sun trap beer garden to the pubs front

YEY reunion tomorrow in the George. I hope Billy Idol and suzi quattro are still on upstairs at Clarence's!!! And stealers wheel. I have to add I am 66 and things may have changed ,😆. Still the best untamed pub in the world. Play gimme shelter and jack the volume up

It's a great traditional pub which I've been frequenting since my misspent youth. Good music, rock DJ Brownie at the weekend. The beer is good and the staff are great, friendly and quick to serve at the bar. A shout out to Chris, who is lovely and always has a smile.
