The Cricketers

Unfortunately for us, there were lots of flies. This was a really bad start to our lunch. The flys just kept coming, to the point where we moved tables but they still kept coming near us and our food. Covering our drinks with coasters and our meals with serviettes it wasn’t a pleasant time. The cricketers need to put something in place to stop these pesky flys. Where was the electric zapper? The tables were sticky, the menus were grubby and tables were left a while uncleared. I must say the food was nice, it’s just the cleanliness of the place. The toilets were smelly too.

The manager of this place, a lovely lady named Sheena, is managing this establishment wonderfully. This is the place to go, or get a delivery from, for good old fashioned pub food. Unlike the other places, like Miller and Carter, and The Wheatsheaf Inn, not giving a toss about their customers, The Cricketers is now my go to for delivered takeaway food. Highly recommended 10/10. One of few decent eateries in Grimsby/ Cleethorpes area.

Absolutely worth 5 stars you can’t go wrong with cheap beer and laughs from the minute you walk in to leaving. Always greeted with a smile and banter from Sheena and that’s why I love coming here. Service is always spot on and we get looked after every time we visit. Thank you and obviously we will be back. See you soon lol

Come regularly and today was just as fantastic as always, Sheena was an absolute laugh as always and service was second to none, always feel looked after and always have a laugh. Cheap beer and giggles, what more do you want on a cheeky Saturday afternoon? Also had food and wow, loaded surf n turf was amazing so thank you for that aswell. Will be back anyway but wow what a day
