Lids

First of all, be aware that they accept cash only which is very strange. The cocktails we had wasn't anything special, very basic and took long time to arrive considering we were the only people in the restaurant. Coke was flat too. Food is very average, our chicken kebab was very dry. Paella for one was very small, with one mussel in it. We sat for ages with dirty plates on the table, was thinking of ordering desert but decided against it.

Went for my daughter's birthday on Saturday night. There were five of us in the party and we were really looking forward to the whole tappas experience. We arrived on time and decided to order some cocktails. I know it takes a while to prep cocktails but as there were only a couple of staff on the drinks took ages to arrive. We ordered our tappas straight away and hoped that as we were a big party the food wouldn't take to long. However, the dishes came very slowly, in no order and a couple that we hadn't even ordered. The young lady that was working there obviously didn't want to be there, which was a shame. I think that in future I would think again about booking a table for a birthday celebration at Lids

A fantastic little place- a hidden gem! The food was superb and cooked to perfection and the service was second to none. I would highly recommend this place! Beautiful Spanish tapas with local produce lovingly made! There is something for everyone on this menu. Me and my bestie had wonderful leisurely lunch here and will definitely be returning and recommending it to all that will listen!

Wanted to try the food from here for ages. Just finished eating the take out we ordered. Really disappointed. Albondigas (4 small meatballs) was quite bland. Paella Valentia was a bit stodgy. The four other dishes were too nondescript to mention. Don't know what I expected but what we received was far off the mark.

Came here with my friend for cocktails, a catch up, and to play board games. I know from previous visits that the food here is really good but we just wanted to have a laugh and a few drinks. The staff that were in were attentive and came to check on us a few times which was nice as we were upstairs and could have been forgotten about, but weren't. Sunday's are advertised as board games and bottomless G&T but when we got there there was nothing on the drinks menu about it so we stuck to the two for one cocktails instead. Lovely time as always. Very warm upstairs which was great as its mid-winter, and the music was a bit loud but very funky

Will not order again form this restaurant. Staff on the phone taking my order you could not fault. Happy to help and very informative. Delivery time for the food was spot on as well. The food however felt like it had been pre cooked and left to sit and wait under heat lamps. Chicken was so dry we never even bothered. Potatoes was dry aslo. This was a Sunday evening. £65 for a poor takeaway. Never again !!!!
